LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures is tub-thumping its haul of 60 XBIZ Awards nominations, including multiple citations for its features “Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody,” “Lost Love” and “Divine.”
The latter titles were directed by Brad Armstrong and topline Wicked contract star Jessica Drake. “Lost Love” earned ten nominations for it’s “fine performances, taut direction and outstanding production values,” a rep enthused, including Feature Movie of the Year.
Armstrong’s “Divine” earned six nods, among them All-Sex Release of the Year and noms for its art direction and cinematography.
Braun’s “Captain Marvel XXX,” starring nominee Kenzie Taylor, received 12 nominations, including Feature Movie of the Year and two Best Sex Scene nominations.
Wicked’s imprints — Wicked Comix, Wicked Blockbuster, Wicked Passions and Wicked Features — earned nods in various categories, while Avi Love and Penny Pax join Drake and Taylor as Best Actress nominees.
Drake also earned nods as Sexpert of the Year and Crossover Star of the Year.
Mike Quasar’s romantic dramas for Wicked Passions — “After Forever” and “… Upon Further Reflection” — were cited in six categories, while Wicked Sensual Care earned several nods, including Sex Lubricant Company of the Year.
“Given its outstanding track record in production, performance, eroticism and innovation, it came as no surprise that XBIZ should honor Wicked Pictures with two of its most coveted nominations — Studio Site of the Year and Studio of the Year,” the rep said.
Wicked President and Owner, Steve Orenstein, expressed gratitude for the recognition received by his “directors, contract stars and executives.”
“As the business continues to evolve, I’m more proud than ever to see so much of our yearly output receive nominations,” he said. “The work of our contract people — all of whom earned nominations in multiple fields — continues to stand out from the pack and be recognized.”
