Romantic Adventures Sets Eco-Friendly Lube Promotion

PEARL, MS — Romantic Adventures is bringing attention to the ruinous aftereffects of Hurricane Barry to the Gulf Coast.

The online retailer and adults-only brick-and-mortar outlet has created an in-store sexy mermaid display keyed to discounts for all water-based lubes and related products. The intent is to bring attention to ongoing environmental contamination wreaked by the recent hurricane.

“No one in Mississippi can go into the Gulf Coast beaches right now because it is so polluted from flooding and farm runoff,” said Tami Rose, Romantic Adventures’ owner and manager. “So we did this little tongue-in-cheek display of a mermaid come ashore. We do some small things for the environment when we can.”

Rose has further committed to the use of paper bags, not plastic, and composts many of the packaging materials that come to the store. Romantic Adventures was the first in the South to carry the Gaia Eco biodegradable bullet from Blush Novelties.

“We are located on the bank of the Pearl River, which runs right through Jackson,” said Rose. “We support the Pearl Riverkeepers and try not to contribute to the trash problem because everything winds up downstream.”

Romantic Adventures is offering online discounts on such brands as Good Clean Love Almost Naked organic lube, Astroglide, Gun Oil H2O, ID Glide, Intimate Earth Hydra Natural Glide, K-Y Jelly and Wicked Jelle Heat, a “highly rated favorite” of Romantic Adventures’ customers.

Romantic Adventures is also trumpeting “storewide reductions” on personal care products as well as DVDs, bath and body products, costumes, bachelor and bachelorette gifts, lingerie and other clothing items and accessories.

Military discounts are available; Rose herself is a Navy vet. Visit Romantic Adventures online and on Twitter. In related news, the outlet recently launched a summer promotion series.
