Dorcel Debuts 'TV Africa'

PARIS — Marc Dorcel has launched its newest television channel, TV Africa, available in more than two dozen African countries on Les Bouquets CANAL+.

According to the company, the launch of TV Africa follows the success of their other channels, Dorcel TV and Dorcel XXX, which enjoy more than 3 million subscribers throughout Europe, along with the launch of Dorcel TV in Canada six months ago.

Currently available on the EVASION+ package on channel 405, subscribers can only access Dorcel TV Africa via a parental code that unlocks exclusive African content, broadcast in French and English, 24/7, or from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. depending upon each country’s regulations.

Among its programming, Dorcel TV Africa offers videos, series, auditions, and products that are entirely filmed in Africa (Nigeria, Cameroon, the Ivory Coast, etc.) with local producers, directors and actors. The Marc Dorcel company has developed exclusive partnerships with several African producers to produce films that accurately adhere to an ethical code of conduct, notably through the protection of the actresses and actors.

All programs are produced in safe-sex conditions with a focus on HIV prevention and promoting positive sexual practices. The company has established partnerships with African associations and has produced informative shows that discuss safer-sex with responsible and healthy practices.

“The Dorcel TV Africa development is a very exciting project for us,” said Marc Dorcel CEO Gregory Dorcel. “As a responsible member in the industry, Marc Dorcel has always listened and responded to the demands of its public, with the understanding and respect of each society and culture — originally French, then European and most recently, North American where our films have been a big success.”

“We are delighted to be able to develop and create a 100 percent African channel,” Dorcel added. “Other than simply creating TV channels, we feel the need to establish positive adult-entertainment principles, just starting to surface in Africa. We are putting all our energy into developing exciting programs for the public and to promote a positive vision of responsible sexual pleasure.”
