MONTREAL — Mona Wales is tempted and tested as the title star of “Confessions of a Sinful Nun 2: The Rise of Sister Mona,” now in wholesale/retail release from Mile High Media and Sweetheart Video.
Cassidy Banks, Nina Hartley, Kenna James, Lena Paul, Magdalene St. Michaels, Serene Siren and Charlotte Stokely fill out the cast for writer-director Ricky Greenwood.
Wales is a 2019 XBIZ Awards winner for Best Actress, while Stokely is the reigning XBIZ Awards winner for Girl/Girl Performer of the Year. The original nunsploitation movie earned multiple XBIZ Awards nods in 2018.

The sequel picks up a few months after the original ended with Sister Mona (Wales) transferring to an abbey run by Sister Joan (St. Michaels), a strict disciplinarian determined to end Sister Mona’s immoral urges. Elsewhere, Sister Charlotte (Stokely) and a novitiate (James), seek to preserve the more permissive style of leadership from their Mother Superior (Hartley) despite the interference of the diocese.
