LOS ANGELES — Alt-porn icon Joanna Angel, her pioneering company Burning Angel and business and life partner Small Hands are celebrating their 10 nominations for the 2019 X-Rated Critic Organization (XRCO) Awards.
Burning Angel received nominations for popular productions “Dirty Grandpa” (Best Comedy), “Metal Massage" (Best Comedy), “All Access POV 2” (Best Gonzo Release), “Cum on my Tattoo” (Best Gonzo Series) and “I Know Who You Fucked Last Halloween” (Best Parody), and also for their website.
Angel received two XRCO Best Director nominations, for Non-Features and for Parody. Small Hands is up for Male Performer of the Year and Best Actor.
“2018 was a busy and bizarre year of filmmaking for adult star Joanna Angel,” said a rep. “From Horror to Gonzo and Parody to Comedy, Joanna has been creating non-stop.”
For Angel, this is a recognition to her consolidation as a filmmaker. “It was a goal of mine to expand my horizons as a director, and knowing my efforts were acknowledged by the critics is a wonderful feeling,” said the original tattooed auteur. “Being nominated and acknowledged in vastly different categories makes me super stoked. A very big thank you to all the performers, crew members and post production people who took part in all these incredible releases."
Small Hands continues receiving acclaim for his breakout acting performance in Angel’s “A Trailer Park Taboo.”
