Phoebe Grott Joins Pleasure Chest as National Purchasing Director

LOS ANGELES — Pleasure Chest has named Phoebe Grott as its new national purchasing director.

Grott will join Head of Business Operations Sarah Tomchesson and Pleasure Chest owner Brian Robinson as part of the core leadership team of the retail chain.

As purchasing director, Grott will curate Pleasure Chest's diverse and high-quality product selection, fine-tune allocation strategies, and build upon the chain's strong industry partnerships.

“Phoebe's passion for her work aligns beautifully with our mission of supporting our community's sexual wellness and exploration by providing the highest quality pleasure products, sex education and specialized shopping experience in a judgment-free environment,” said Tomchesson. “Her experience adds a fresh perspective and her proven track record in the industry will only strengthen and support our growth strategy. I had the opportunity to work with Phoebe in our early years at Babeland and I've admired her work from afar ever since. I am really excited about the opportunity to work with her again and can't wait to see what she brings to our amazing purchasing team!"

Grott had previously held the position of senior buyer at Babeland and most recently served as the VP of buying and merchandise with eCommerce retailer Ella Paradis. With over a decade of experience in the industry, she boasts a record of success in product selection, assortment planning, inventory management, and product and packaging design.

Regarding the new position, Grott commented, “The Pleasure Chest has been a leader in creating stores that promote inclusivity and pleasure positivity, and it is an honor to be invited to contribute to the company’s growth and success as National Purchasing Director. I look forward to joining Brain, Sarah and the national team to support their vision and the ever-evolving desires of the Pleasure Chest customer through strategic purchasing and strong vendor partnerships.”

Grott will be replacing Pleasure Chest's previous buyer Victor Tobar, “whose leadership and experience has contributed to the growth of the Pleasure Chest as a leader in the Adult Retail Industry over the past seven years,” stated a company representative.
