Slixa.com Welcomes Sex Worker Rights Advocate Kate D'Adamo for Weekly Blog Feature

LOS ANGELES — Online adult entertainment services site Slixa.com has announced the launch of ‘Kate’s Account’, a weekly blog post from sex worker rights activist and advocate Kate D’Adamo.

Formerly the National Policy Advocate at the Sex Workers Project at the Urban Justice Center, D’Adamo has also worked with the Sex Worker Outreach Project, (SWOP), Sex Workers Action New York (SWANK), Survivors Against SESTA (SAS), and now supports local organizations working for sex worker rights, such as Decrim New York (DecrimNY).

D’Adamo’s first article titled “Decrim Conversations, Nevada Brothels and Calls to Action,” takes a closer look at the state’s 21 legal brothels and the legislation continuously at work to criminalize and shut them down.

Published every Monday, her first-person features will investigate the latest industry topics, news stories, legal concerns and political issues that affect workers within the community.

Upcoming articles will examine the topic of decriminalization in the upcoming presidential election and the increasing media attention to sex worker rights. “Hopefully once a week I can give you a smattering of how alive this movement is right now,” said D’Adamo, “and get you as excited as I am when I read through these things.”
