LOS ANGELES — Axel Braun and Wicked Comix have announced that, after an extensive casting search, Kenzie Taylor has been cast to lead the director's latest endeavor, “Captain Marvel: An Axel Braun Parody.”
While further official details are still under wraps, the XBIZ Award-winning director (whose “Deadpool XXX” movie won Comedy Release of the Year in January) expressed that he “couldn't be more excited to showcase Taylor’s formidable acting skills and unstoppable sexual prowess in his most anticipated movie of the year,” according to a rep.
“Over 120 girls submitted audition videos," the director exclaimed, "and although I'm used to huge turnouts when holding physical casting calls, this was literally insane! The top agents were, as usual, very proactive and efficient, but this time, a huge percentage of submissions also came from self-booking talent. The audition consisted of a fairly long and pretty complex monologue, and 99 percent of the girls memorized it in its entirety, which was very impressive and indicative of a refreshing level of professionalism and commitment in the industry.
“More than half of the submissions were very good, and it took me a couple of days to narrow it down to a shortlist of four exceptional ones,” he said. “Then, today, OC Modeling sent me Kenzie’s video … and I immediately realized my search was over. Her audition was literally on a whole different level from anyone else's. Kenzie’s acting was fantastic, and she managed to show strength, intensity and vulnerability at the same time, and she projected a genuine aura of wholesomeness while exuding the right amount of sex appeal. She will be a phenomenal Carol Danvers, and I can’t wait to see her in the Captain Marvel costume!”
“I am so full of gratitude, and totally speechless,” beamed Taylor. “This is my first real opportunity to show everyone what I’m truly capable of as an adult actress, and I really am just mind-blown ... I feel like I’m dreaming and I need to wake up! All I can say is thank you so much Axel Braun and Wicked Pictures for trusting me with this amazing role! I am really looking forward to embarking on this journey with Axel, and digging into the complexities and the physicality of this character. Now beginning its third week at the top of the box office, and anchored by a spectacular performance by Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson, “Captain Marvel” is already the most successful mainstream movie release of 2019. Yet while the adventures of Carol Danvers may be new to the silver screen, the character is one that Braun has sought to bring to his “Parody AxelVerse” for years. He once offered the role to professional wrestler, actress and mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey in 2015, with a $5 million public bid chronicled by TMZ, MovieWeb and others.
“Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” is the director's first big-budget production to go before the cameras since his ambitious black and white original feature “The Possession of Mrs. Hyde” (written by Braun in collaboration with his late father, Golden Age porn pioneer Lasse Braun, and his son, adult filmmaker Rikki Braun).
“Harder. Deeper. Faster. ‘Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody’ will be available in late summer 2019,” stated a rep.
