LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return participation in The Phoenix Forum (TPF), scheduled for March 27-30, in Tempe, Arizona.
According to its promoters, The Phoenix Forum is the premier educational and networking event for the adult business community, connecting a diverse blend of leaders. Offering attendees a relaxed face-to-face networking environment, TPF provides industry executives with opportunities to meet, learn, and share ideas with their peers.
ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, an expert on age verification and child protection technology, will attend the annual event, where he will discuss the newest global initiatives aimed at mandating age and identity verification for internet users and meaningful ways in which industry stakeholders can respond. Highlighting Henning’s outreach efforts at TPF, is his participation in an age verification workshop on Friday, March 29, from 11-11:45 a.m. in the Xavier room.
Presented by AVSecure, the session will explore the continually evolving state of age verification, including the Voluntary Certification Scheme and what it means; content guidelines as defined by the BBFC; and the opportunities, risks and current concerns from AV. It will also cover the DEA, including what it is trying to achieve and what webmasters are doing to comply with it. Plus, the proposed RTA Label from ASACP and other pertinent updates that matter to online businesses.
“The roll-out of mandatory age verification is underway and many misconceptions persist,” Henning explains, “making this session attendee’s best bet for learning the latest news about AV compliance, enforcement, and penalties, to provide the information businesses need to operate safely today — and into the future.”
In addition to participating in this timely workshop, Henning will play in the 15th Annual Phoenix Forum Charity Golf Tournament to benefit ASACP — an exclusive networking charity event presented by X2K and WebmasterGolfTour.com on Wed., March 27, at the Ocotillo Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona. Registration is now open for the golf tournament, with spots available for Phoenix Forum attendees.
TPF host CCBill has generously provided ASACP with a Platinum Sponsorship package that includes prominent courtyard and seminar hall foyer signage printing and display, plus a full-page ad in the show’s program guide, a flyer room drop, and an exhibition table at the Meet & Greet Networking Happy Hour.
Additionally, the show’s promoters provided ASACP with a room at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and complimentary admission to the event.
“Thanks to the generous support of CCBill, X2K, and other companies committed to child protection, ASACP is able to carry its message of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment to industry stakeholders at The Phoenix Forum,” Henning concludes. “TPF is a fabulous opportunity for the association to help bring together the adult industry’s most responsible professionals, to protect children from age-restricted materials online and build better businesses in the process.”
