Pineapple Support's Leya Tanit to Discuss Performer Empowerment at XBIZ Show

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Pineapple Support’s Leya Tanit will join sex therapist Moushumi Ghose, “Thriving in Sex Work” author Lola Davina and Clips4Sale’s DariusZ on an XBIZ Show panel aimed at helping performers build a stable career in the adult industry without losing themselves.

Tanit, who founded the performer mental health resource Pineapple Support last year, said that financial instability and emotional security are some of the biggest issues performers face and can feed or exacerbate mental health issues, such as depression and low self-esteem.

“Cams, customs and paysites allow performers a freedom we’ve never had before, but it also can leave us more isolated, and more vulnerable to loneliness and depression,” Tanit said.” I look forward to an honest discussion with some incredibly smart people, about how we can use our resources — as well as organizational and emotional techniques — to help build a stronger, healthier, more stable and more empowered performer community.”

“Performing in Adult: Earning Through Empowerment” will take place at the Andaz hotel in West Hollywood as part of the 2019 XBIZ Show
