LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced BongaCams as its newest Title Sponsor and the newest company to kick-off the new year by stepping up to an industry leadership role.
According to a BongaCams spokesperson, as a trusted ASACP Title Sponsor, the company takes the protection of children online very seriously.
“Since children might not only visit adult content websites but also attempt to become paid performers, we take extra care to ensure they are deprived of such opportunities,” the spokesperson explains, noting, “Our collaboration with ASACP is based on BongaCams’ aspiration to prevent child exploitation on the internet and we do our best to secure their safety online.”
“BongaCams strictly prohibits streaming or uploading pedophilic content and takes on the obligation to contact relevant authorities if such activity is suspected. Thanks to ASACP’s support, the general public also has the opportunity to report on any questionable content and thus minimize the spread of child pornography,” the spokesperson adds. “The service provided by ASACP is fully anonymous so BongaCams’ visitors can feel totally safe reporting on any suspicious videos — and therefore the fight against child exploitation will be maximally effective.”
ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning warmly welcomes BongaCams to the association’s family of industry-leading sponsors and is pleased that the company is playing a substantial role in the fight to protect children from age-inappropriate materials.
“ASACP’s mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment is doubly supported when a live cam company steps up to a leadership role by sponsoring the association,” Henning says, explaining, “The reason bringing cam companies onboard is so important is because not only do they need to keep children from viewing their sites, they also need to prevent any underage models from broadcasting on their platform. It is a complicated and serious responsibility — but ASACP can help.”
Henning says ASACP’s sponsors benefit from association services such as the multiple award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that filters out age-restricted materials; along with top market-specific Best Practices; a universal Code of Ethics promoting child-safe operation, and more.
The generosity of its sponsors empowers the non-profit association’s near 23-year-long record of success, which is highlighted by its globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports to-date — illustrating the value of the association and the effective use it makes of the support it receives from its sponsors.
“ASACP’s sponsor roll represents the industry’s finest companies, and we’re grateful that BongaCams has joined our family as an elite Title Sponsor, reflecting the company’s commitment to child safety,” Henning concludes. “By combining proactive family-friendly business practices with a responsible level of community support, BongaCams provides a leadership example well worth following.”
