Pornhub Releases 'Year in Review'; Stormy Daniels Dominates Celeb Searches

BURBANK, Calif. — Pornhub today released its 6th annual "Year in Review," its complete recap of the website’s trends and revelations.

All presented with colorful charts and insightful commentary, Pornhub offers its statistics of searches, celebrities and events that influenced how people used the portal.

In one vitally important category, Stormy Daniels, the upcoming host of the 2019 XBIZ Awards, reached the No. 1 spot for Popular Celebrity Searches. She had more than 30 million Pornhub searches this past year.

Some of the statistics presented by Pornhub show off the popularity and durability of its buffet of erotic content offerings. Check out these numbers: 

  • Pornhub reported record visits — 33.5 billion over the course of 2018 to date, an increase of 5 billion visits from 2017. Pornhub’s servers served up 30.3 billion searches, or 962 searches per second;
  • Pornhub’s amateurs, models and content partners uploaded 4.79 million new videos, creating more than 1 million hours of new content;
  • Through 2018 to date, Pornhub transferred 4403 petabytes of data, equating to 147 gigabytes per second;
  • Pornhub reports that with every minute 63,992 new visitors arrive at the site, 207,405 videos are watched and 57,750 searches are performed. Fifty-five of those video views are of Kim Kardashian’s sex tape, which is still Pornhub’s most watched video of all time at 195 million views; and,
  • Twelve new videos and 2 hours of content are uploaded to Pornhub every minute while 7708 gigabytes of data are transferred worldwide.
