MiKandi Adult App Store Responds to Tumblr's Porn Ban

SEATTLE — MiKandi, a leading mobile application market for adults, has extended an invitation to Tumblr to join its team of publishers.

“Instead of sanitizing the platform to death, why not allow your loyal fans to have options?” MiKandi asked Tumblr, which announced on Monday that it would be shutting down and removing accounts with any form of adult content.

“We would love to welcome an uncensored Tumblr to the MiKandi Adult App Store, where we encourage both the creative and the horny, and applaud nipples of every gender,” MiKandi said.

“We encourage and celebrate both male and female-presenting nipples, sex-focused subcultures and all other forms of healthy, consensual, sexual expression."

MiKandi noted that with Tumblr’s decision to ban pornography from its platform, it became clear that the internet lost another major player in the sex-positive space.

“Erotic GIFs and female-presenting nipples are once again being censored into oblivion,” MiKandi said. “Here at MiKandi we believe sex shouldn’t be shameful. When sex is part of an open conversation it can encourage identity exploration, body-positivity, self-love, and inclusivity, which is more important now than ever before.”

The MiKandi Adult App Store is free to download on Android devices. The MiKandi Theater, as well as comics and web games, are available to customers on desktop and all touch devices, including iPhone and iPad.

Adult studios, app developers and creators can register a free MiKandi account at Publisher.Mikandi.com.
