LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures today announced the DVD release of "Axel Braun’s Girlfest,” a nominee for XBIZ Best All-Girl Release of the Year and the legendary director's first-ever all-girl release.
Showcasing 10 women graced with beauty and boundless enthusiasm for same-sex loving, this showcase is Braun's latest collaboration with lesbian performer Charlotte Stokely, who portrayed Batwoman in his award-winning Wicked Comix parody “Justice League XXX.”
Stokely shares the spotlight — along with the DVD's cover — with stunning cam model and Southern California native Sabina Rouge, while the supporting cast is comprised of Elena Koshka, Lauren Phillips, Jennifer White, September Reign, Ivy Jones, Brenna Sparks, Zoey Foxx and Aidra Fox.
"Axel Braun's Girlfest” has been receiving raves from fans since its late September video-on-demand debut, said director and producer Axel Braun, who this year released a prolific amount of adult fare — 14 all-sex movies and two big-budget features, “The Possession of Mrs. Hyde” and “Deadpool XXX.”
“I’m actually a big fan of girl-girl movies, which is really one of the reasons why I never tackled the genre," Braun said. "It’s just one of those things that I only wanted to do if it was right if I had the perfect cast and the right inspiration, which I ended up finding strangely during the busiest year of my career.”
“Charlotte Stokely and Elena Koshka were the two main pieces of my puzzle,” he said. “Stokely is undoubtedly the best all-girl performer in the business, and after getting to know her better during the Justice League XXX shoot, I decided that I was gonna work with her as much as humanly possible because she is just amazing.
“And Elena may very well be the most beautiful woman on the planet, so I gave myself the challenge of coming up with eight more girls who could live up to these two, and the result is pretty explosive.
“Every scene is a standout, and every performer gave 110 percent in terms of heat and passion. I literally cannot pick a favorite scene, and I am so proud and thankful that the movie got nominated!"
Koshka, who previously worked with Braun in the upcoming “Axel Braun’s Nylon 2,” said: “Axel is a man of wisdom and passion. Working with him was a breath of fresh air, everything was carefully prepared and perfectly communicated in advance.”
“The way he carries himself and his crew is unlike any other, he puts priority in making sure the performers know what his vision is so that we can in return give a performance that is up to his high standards,” she said. “It was a simple and quick day, surrounded by positive people who were all there to create a masterpiece.
