LOS ANGELES — Adult Empire has released the latest statistics on its DVD rankings, with director Kayden Kross taking the top two slots for her directorial achievements with Greg Lansky's powerful brands.
Her Abigail Mac showcase "Abigail" from Tushy.com scored No. 1 last week, just as it did the previous week, and her Vixen.com movie "After Dark" — centering on Tori Black — landed at the No. 2 rank.
Today Kross told XBIZ, "I am so proud of these projects and so thankful to the people who worked on them and allowed them to be made, and seeing the sales validate the work has been overwhelming. I want to thank the people spending their hard-earned money on this work. This is what allows us to continue."
Meanwhile, Lansky's "Interracial Icon 9" from Blacked made the No. 3 slot, and "V10" from his Blacked Raw imprint ranked No. 4, cementing the dominance of his multi-faceted empire.
According to the AE Pulse blog, "The DVD rankings are usually dominated by a particular genre or studio, but in this week’s Pulse, it was a director who bound together the top two movies. Kayden Kross, best known as a porn star but now equally celebrated for her efforts as director, owned slots one and two with 'Abigail' (winner of two straight) and 'After Dark.'"
