Laidhub.com, ARConk Debut Augmented Reality Porn App

LOS ANGELES — Providing a tantalizing glimpse at the future of adult entertainment, Laidhub.com and ARConk has announced the debut of its augmented reality (AR) app.

ARConk mixes 3D videos of performers with live video of the user’s viewing space, providing immersive experiences familiar to VR fans, but with the scene appearing within the viewer’s own environment — for example, seeing a model in your own living room.

According to the company, it was only a few years ago that the notion of “being inside” of an adult movie was thought to be impossible, and yet, virtual reality porn scenes are becoming more realistic every day, as their producers attempt to outdo each other in the race for higher standards of quality and immersion. With the growth in popularity of VR porn, new frontiers of innovation are now appearing on the horizon and putting AR porn squarely in the spotlight with the launch of ARConk.

ARConk’s producers have been cooperating with the owners of the Laidhub.com platform to establish a realistic AR porn experience that has not been seen before.

“It is pretty refreshing to introduce something as the very first one in the world, but we have paid for this success with a lot of hard work,” says Adam Gecko, the owner of the Look Forward company and ARConk. “Together with guys from Laidhub.com, we have managed to do something that many people kept dreaming about, and we are really proud of our innovation. Naturally, we are aware that many companies had tried that in the past, but only succeeded with some animated AR porn — which means that our experience is the very first real AR porn in history!”

Gecko says content viewed in AR is more appealing than VR experiences, echoing actual holograms, and notes that “since headsets for virtual, augmented and even mixed reality are getting smaller and smaller, this technology might one day replace the idea of a holographic world.”

“It is actually funny, but a few large AR companies have already contacted us and asked us how we did this,” says Laidhub.com CEO Daniel Abramovich. “We have spent way too much money, time and resources to make it happen, though, and we are not going to reveal any of our secrets. This has been a long trial of errors through a research and development process and we are more than happy that it has finally paid off and that it is actually working!”

Abramovich says the application is fully operative, providing producers with everything they need to start making AR porn on a larger scale, so it is only a matter of time before fans see an increase in the number of available AR porn titles.

“With the use of this technology,” Abramovich concludes, “the makers can scan pretty much any person in the world to create a lifelike and fully interactive real experience inside of their augmented reality environment and for their fans.”

“We did some tests and people are actually fascinated about the capabilities of our AR tech,” explains ARConk app developer Jerome Balzac. “Right now, we came up with two unique AR experiences: one of them is just a 3D scan of a girl, and the other one is a real and fully interactive 3D AR video of a sexy porn star. It pretty much means that you can walk around the vixen, watch her from every angle, get closer (or further) to/from her and do with her basically just anything that will come to your mind.”

ARConk does not require an expensive Magic Leap or Microsoft AR headset to watch these immersive encounters, as a Holokit AR Cardboard headset offers a budget-friendly solution.

Gecko says widespread AR might still be a ways off, but notes the entire technology is catching up and the company wants to be ready for the future.

“Soon enough more and more people should be involved in this tech, so we need to be as proactive as possible and try to be a step ahead as far as we can,” Gecko reveals. “We believe that in the future when other companies will get to our level, we will already have a large variety of different experiences waiting for our followers, and that is why the early stage of the ARConk project is so important.”
