Adams told XBIZ that she left the business to concentrate on her interest in real estate, and passed the test on her first try to become a certified mortgage broker in Florida and her native Texas.
“I’ve always believed that once you stop having fun in anything you do, it’s time to get out,” Adams said. “At the time, I just wanted to do something different with my life. While I was away, I always missed it, but felt it was time to test my abilities in a different field.”
After finding success in the high-stakes, stressful world of real estate, Adams contacted Vivid last year about revamping her website. Those talks turned into discussions about an exclusive contract. With a thirst to make a comeback and perform in features again, Adams inked a two-year, eight-picture deal with Vivid.
As part of her comeback, Adams also brought her boyfriend, Mike Striker, into performing on camera. Both will perform together and with other people. Adams will commute back and forth from Texas to California to fulfill her duties with Vivid. She is also under contract for eight appearances per year.
“Sunrise is without a doubt one of the best performers I’ve seen,” Howard Levine, Vivid’s national sales manager, told XBIZ. “Her work is incredible. She is known for doing nastier features, and her performance in ‘Sex Addict’ won’t disappoint. She has always been in high demand and has a huge following.”
Adams said that “Sex Addict” tells a “pornified” version of her comeback story. The movie follows Adams to rehab for sex addiction. She tells a roomful of sex addicts the story about how and why she left porn and why she is making a comeback. Throughout her story, she flashes back to four different sex acts and at the end, the entire class has sex.
Adams performs in three scenes in the movie, including a girl-girl tryst with Lisa Daniels; a boy-girl-girl scene with Striker and Penny Flame; and a foursome with Striker, Jana Foxy and Marlie Moore.
“Coming back to do this movie was a great experience,” Adams said. “The sex scenes were incredible and completely hot. I even squirted twice!”
The next movie for Adams is a spoof on “Miami Vice” in which she and Lanny Barby play the two main roles.
