18-year-old Moon was born in Guatemala, then was adopted as a baby by an American family; she has an older brother who is also Guatemalan and who was also adopted. During middle school Moon discovered dance.
“Dance saved my life,” Moon said. “At the time I was feeling lost, and dance helped me find myself.”
Another performance art Moon was always interested in was sex performing, so she decided to combine both by coming to California and pursuing both dance and porn seriously and simultaneously, John explained. She currently is in school in Hollywood studying contemporary modern dance, and at the same time making her mark sexually in front of the industry’s cameras.
Moon has ambitious goals for the impact of both her dance and porn careers.
“With dance, as I explained I feel it saved my life, and I want to do the same for others,” Moon added. “I want to give back to the community, inspire kids, have an impact.”

There are still too many negative thoughts and misconceptions in society regarding both the industry and the people in the industry.”
“There are so many amazing, educated people in the industry, the awareness needs to be raised, “ Moon stated. “No one should be ashamed to enjoy being in the industry or by enjoying what the industry produces. Because everyone is a consumer of the industry.”
John commented, “I was impressed when I interviewed Sofia and by her views and her passion on these topics. For someone of her age to have such a clear and global view — focusing on society and the world and giving back and changing perceptions — is rare and wonderful.”
