Rocco Siffredi to Host 1st XBIZ Europa Awards in Berlin

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce legendary Italian adult performer, director and producer Rocco Siffredi as host of the inaugural XBIZ Europa Awards.

His iconic stature in adult entertainment, particularly in Europe, led organizers to choose Siffredi, who will lead the red-carpet affair that will recognize the continent’s top industry players, as well as international brands, and position the XBIZ Europa Awards as the premier European adult industry awards show.

Known as “The Italian Stallion,” Siffredi has performed in more than 1,300 adult titles, as well as a number of mainstream productions, over the course of his illustrious career.

The square-jawed European superstar has a visceral style, both in terms of his cinematic gonzo titles and the rawness of his sex scenes. Always in command, the performer/director is revered for his singular commitment to elevating the finest depravity available to man.

In recognition of his accomplishments, he has won countless awards, including multiple XBIZ awards as Foreign Male Performer of the Year and Foreign Director of the Year, and recently, the 2017 and 2018 honors for Foreign Non-Feature for “Rocco Siffredi Hard Academy 1” and “Rocco's Perfect Slaves 11,” respectively.

His first film, “Attention Fillettes...,” was released more than 30 years ago in 1987, produced by famed European adult film producer Marc Dorcel and directed by Michel Ricaud, placing the star on a diverse career that included fashion modeling, among other mainstream forays.

Although Siffredi performed in a wide variety of adult genres and shooting styles, his popularity was largely fueled by fans of his unbridled sex scenes and for his work with John Stagliano’s Evil Angel, and for his own Budapest-based Rocco Siffredi Produzioni.

So far-reaching is his influence that Netflix showcased his mythic status with an intimate and gritty look at his life. And his notoriety is such that they dubbed it simply “Rocco.”

“I am immensely honored to host the first-ever XBIZ Europa Awards,” Siffredi said. “It is another highlight of my long and memorable career, and it is a privilege to be part of recognizing outstanding achievements across Europe and beyond.”

“I have witnessed many changes in our industry over the years and have seen so much growth in creativity and production quality,” Siffredi added. “The XBIZ Europa Awards will bring long sought-after recognition to the European community with the high level of elegance that only XBIZ can deliver.”

Created to honor excellence in the European adult industry and other international markets across Web & Technology, Movies & Production and Retail & E-Commerce, the XBIZ Europa Awards will coincide with XBIZ Berlin, set for Sept. 9-12.
