LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has announced the release of the story-driven adult drama “Insomnia” from veteran filmmaker, writer and photographer Hank Hoffman.
Starring Mona Wales and Chanel Preston, this “perceptive and emotionally complex” couples feature is now in stores on DVD and available for viewing online at Wicked.com.
Hoffman’s latest effort as a, cinematographer and director tells the story of Piper Valentine (Wales), an introspective thirtysomething who has lost everything: her husband cheated, her company has gone bankrupt and without either, her sense of self and the life she had grown accustomed to are gone.
Leaving everything behind, she goes on the road and develops insomnia, her life turning into a waking dream. She then meets the handsome Terry, who’s sweet-natured toward her, and the sex has a tenderness she’s never encountered in a one-night stand.
“Insomnia” finds Wales delivering a poignant, psychologically-informed performance as a woman who but for a quirk of fate finds herself up against a wall with very few alternatives, the company says. With this story arc in place, Hoffman's film then follows how she overcomes those options, drawing on her own inner strength.
Wales is joined on her erotic journey by adult superstar and sex worker advocate Chanel Preston, and a supporting cast featuring Ryan Driller, Jenna Sativa, Eden Sin, Tyler Nixon, Moka Mora, Derrick Pierce and Jay Smooth.
Shot and edited in 16×9 HD, the “Insomnia” DVD also includes three bonus sex scenes, hardcore still galleries, XXX trailers, and other content exclusive to the physical release.
