PearlyWhites whitens teeth and also the sclera of the eye by automatically searching for white areas surrounded by flesh tones and removing any yellowish tones.
PearlyWhites and ShineOff "are additions to our existing line,” said Michael Conley, vice president of marketing and sales. “We’re going to add a full suite of products for the professional photographer that will make people beautiful in their pictures, with automatic workflow.”
ShineOff reduces the glare to flesh tones caused by flash photography without diminishing the natural luster of lips or eyes.
Both of the filters can be used on individual photos or with other Image Trends products in a Photoshop Action to process large photo sets in batch mode.
PearlyWhites and ShineOff retail for $49.95. The plug-ins work on Windows and versions for Mac OS X will be available soon.
Founded by members of the former Applied Science Fiction Group, as well as employees of Kodak’s Austin Development Center, Image Trends specializes in creating advanced image processing technology.
Other products include the FishEyeHemi that uses mapping technology to remove distortion from photos taken with a fisheye lens. DustClean and SensorClean remove dirt and dust from photographs and scanned images.
