HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Wicked Pictures recently received 12 major XRCO nominations in the areas of performance, direction and crossover visibility in the mainstream media space.
Director Brad Armstrong’s urban thriller “Ethni*City” received a nomination for Best Release, while his “An Inconvenient Mistress” earned stars Jessica Drake and Ryan Driller Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively.
A third Armstrong-directed release, the futuristic drama “Takers,” saw the veteran filmmaker/performer's work in front of the camera honored with a Best Actor nomination. Armstrong’s output throughout the year earned him a Best Director (Features) nomination.
“Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” received three major nominations — Best Director (Parody), Parody of the Year and Best Actress for Romi Rain's performance as Wonder Woman.
Drake earned XRCO's Mainstream Adult Media Favorite nomination in recognition of her high-profile work as a sex educator, her passion for social justice and the continuing success of her award-winning instructional series, “Jessica Drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex.
Adult superstar, writer and moviemaker Stormy Daniels earned two nominations for her Wicked output — Best Director (Features) and Best Comedy (“The Blonde Dahlia”). Tommy Pistol's performance in Mike Quasar's “Ingenue” received a nomination for Best Actor.
XRCO winners will be announced Thursday, June 28, at an industry-only awards ceremony at the OHM Club in Hollywood.
