Catjira, Vera Sky Named 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards Hosts

Catjira, Vera Sky Named 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards Hosts

MIAMI — Last summer, the inaugural XBIZ Cam Awards capped XBIZ Miami with a perfect storm of glitz and glory at the legendary Versace Mansion, crowning a bevy of cam models with such majesty that many careers skyrocketed to unseen heights soon thereafter.

It was during this historic occasion, which commanded more than 1 million votes from rabid fans across the globe, that Vera Sky toppled the camming establishment, landing the coveted Best Cam Model in North America trophy — as did Catjira, when she won Best Cosplay Cam Model.

Their ascension continued steadily in the months that followed, amidst XBIZ Cam Star of the Month spreads, epic cover shots and advice columns in XBIZ World magazine, paving the way for their dominion. Then, at the January 2018 XBIZ Awards in Los Angeles, Catjira was named Web Star of the Year, bathed once again in the spotlight.

Now, they are climbing the diamond 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards staircase, each elegantly sculpted step snapping into place beneath their every high-heeled footfall.

Ladies and gentlemen, when the world once again turns its attention to the most unrivaled cam awards ceremony in the industry, when onlookers wait with baited breath for the fan-based winner's circle to take shape, when the most elite gathering of adult tech aficionados converge in Miami, Vera Sky and Catjira will reach the highest celestial plane as official hosts for the evening's grand affair.

"I am so honored, flattered, grateful and over the moon that I was chosen to be one of the hosts," gushed Sky. "When I entered this industry and pressed 'stream' for the first time four years ago, I had no idea my journey was going to come this far! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every fan, model, industry member and loved one who has supported me and pushed me to work harder and do bigger and better things, this is possible because of you guys. And of course, thank you to my dear friends at XBIZ for choosing me to represent their award show. Best of luck to you all, and I can’t wait to see you guys in a few weeks!"

As for Catjira, whose shapeshifting cam persona is second to none, she enthused, "Being chosen as one of the hosts is seriously the coolest thing to ever happen to me. I never thought the minute I broadcasted on MFC my life would change forever and I'd meet so many amazingly supportive people who would allow me to have opportunities like this. Last year's show was my first award show ever, where I met so many of my friends and won the first Best Cosplay Cam Model award.

"I had no idea I'd be co-hosting the following year, let alone with my good friend Vera Sky," she added. "I'm so grateful for all of my viewers, cam members and friends who are constantly supporting me — without them, I wouldn't have the chance to do something as insane as co-hosting my favorite awards show! XBIZ is such an amazing company full of opportunities for camming, it's so humbling to have a big name like them recognize our industry and all the hard work that goes into being a cam model. Thank you for making our dream come true!"

And so, as the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards, presented by the world-famous MyFreeCams, crests the horizon like a radiant dawn, who shall be adorned in kingly and queenly regalia this year? Who shall stand tall, casting their shadow and eclipsing the very constellations themselves? Only those whose fans rush the digital voting booth with wild abandon, who harvest fields and fields of social media acclaim, can seize the throne.
