Fluid Player Releases Version 2 Update

DUBLIN — Fluid Player has announced the release of a major upgrade to its free, open-source, HTML5 video player.

According to the company, Fluid Player is aimed at publisher sites that show video content and can also be used as a video content monetization tool, working with any video ad server, ad network or exchange to display video ad formats to a site’s users. Fluid Player is lightweight, easy to integrate and has advanced VAST capabilities.

The new update upgrades Fluid Player’s default skin, which now features an overhauled and more aesthetically pleasing user interface with primary color configuration along with an added central play button with new play and pause animations.

In addition, a new buffer/pre-loading indicator, progress bar color differentiation between ads and the main content, configurable auto-hide controls on play and show on pause, and optional advertisement notice round out the new enhancements.

Finally, in order for Fluid Player to fit into the “look and feel” of a publisher’s site, customization has been made much easier and quicker by regrouping the configuration parameters, while the player's documentation has also been improved with demos of how the code works across various features.

Fluid Player V2 can be downloaded from GitHub.
