FSC: Tell Your Congressmember to Vote No on FOSTA

LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition today issued the following urgent-action bulletin over the Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act, which is slated for a vote tomorrow in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The FSC said the following:

The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on H.R. 1865, FOSTA, tomorrow morning and we need your help to vote it down!

The Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) does not do what it claims, but instead is a way for government ideologues to censor internet free speech by increasing civil and criminal penalties for online platforms.

In addition to FSC, the bill is opposed by many civil rights and free speech organizations, such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Committee for Justice (CFJ), TechFreedom, Engine, FreedomWorks, Citizens Outreach and the R Street Institute.

Don't let Congress take your rights away by pretending to protect people! Call your representative and tell them to vote no on FOSTA today!
