Stockroom Unveils Stormy Leather 'Facelift'

SAN FRANCISCO — Fetish retailer Stockroom.com has completed the renovation and redesign of the Stormy Leather storefront, having spent more than two weeks planning and revamping it in time for its official unveiling party this weekend.

Stockroom founder Joel Tucker told XBIZ that the store has undergone a total facelift — new lighting, open skylight, new display fixtures and a new color scheme of dark red, brown, grey and silver.

He also said the merchandise has been completely updated, and the store now features more fashionable styles and designs of latex and leather wear, as well as a wider array of sex toys, machines and furniture.

"The products were in need of replenishing, overhauling and remerchandising," Tucker said. "There are new colors, new materials and [modern] cuts.

The store stocks less PVC and more latex, he said, and has gotten rid of its high-waisted styles to offer more low-riding skirts and pants.

Stormy also will stock more fetish gear, such as spreader bars and a line of high-end whips. Tucker said the store will have a higher-quality, more up-to-date selection.

To celebrate Stormy's new look, Stockroom is hosting a party in the storefront May 18 from 6 p.m. to midnight, with a fashion show featuring new fetish wear beginning at 9 p.m.

Adult stars Courtney Cruz, Justine Joli and Diamondback Annie will be on hand to model the luxury leather and latex gear. DJ Fever will be on hand to provide musical entertainment.

Allain Rochel, who planned the Stormy bash, told XBIZ that Kink.com webmaster Tomkat also will be at the party to demo several new machines, including the Sybian and a tongue machine.

Stormy Leather is located at 1158 Howard St.
