LOS ANGELES — XBIZ has launched the official website and trailer for the 2018 XBIZ Awards, hosted by superstar Jessica Drake and presented by MyFreeCams, kicking off the pre-nomination period for the adult industry's biggest night with a bang.
To submit pre-nominations, which run Sept. 1 through midnight on Sept. 30, industry professionals must be registered members of XBIZ.net and use the online submission form to record their entries.
Several award categories have been introduced for the 2018 show in an effort to best highlight the evolving facets of adult.
In the Movies & Production field, in response to the booming taboo genre, three categories have been added: Taboo Release of the Year, Taboo Series of the Year and Best Sex Scene — Taboo Release. Also, in order to reflect the diverse array of parody works, such titles now qualify for inclusion in the Feature Movie, Couples-Themed and newly added Comedy categories: Comedy Release of the Year, Best Actress — Comedy Release, Best Actor — Comedy Release and Best Sex Scene — Comedy Release.
Within the Web & Technology segment, XBIZ will introduce awards for Emerging Web Brand of the Year, as well as a category split for Cam Studio of the Year into Europe and Latin America. Also, to recognize excellence in camming on an international level, honors will be bestowed upon Female Cam Model of the Year and Male Cam Model of the Year.
Within the realm of Pleasure Products, new awards will be given in the categories of Luxury Brand of the Year and Manufacturer Education/Training Program of the Year, as well as a category split for Sex Toy of the Year — Powered into Vibrating and Non-Vibrating. Also, in the Retail & Distribution sector, trophies will be awarded for Retailer Education/Training Program of the Year and Home Party Company of the Year.
In order to be eligible for consideration for a 2018 XBIZ Award, movies and pleasure products must be released between Oct. 1, 2016 and Sept. 30, 2017.
