Eurowebtainment Kicks Off Thursday in Mallorca

MALLORCA, Spain – Billed as “Europe’s largest trade fair for entertainment in Internet, telecommunication and SAT-TV,” the Eurowebtainment (EWT) Meeting 2007 begins Thursday at the Hotel Playa Golf in Mallorca, Spain.

Scheduled for May 10-13, most of the event’s programming takes place on Friday and Saturday. According to the EWT website, the educational portion of the show begins Friday morning, with an 11:30 a.m. lecture entitled “Web based content providing for 3G video calling” to be delivered by Steve Adams of C3 Ltd.

Other lectures scheduled for Friday include an address by attorney Marko Dorre covering recently passed German laws, a presentation by Frank Rothgänger of Carmunity on the expanding mobile market and revenue opportunities for adult companies within that sector, and an address from Philipp Kadel of Diagonal Inkasso titled “Collection and the online business; why collection is not just collection.”

Friday’s slate of seminars is followed by “speed networking” in the EWT lounge from 4-6:30 p.m., and the EWT “VIP Party,” to be held at the nightclub Titos, starting at 10 p.m.

Saturday morning, EWT’s lectures pick up again with Gerhard Fleischmann of Zastra Business Anstalt addressing “Telepay-Systems,” followed by a poolside workshop to be conducted by photographer Paul Markham, which carries the straightforward title of “How to Shoot a Lot Better.”

At 2 p.m. Saturday, shuttles will begin ferrying EWT attendees to a boat tour, promising those that board the pair of catamarans “beautiful views, the sun and [having] the chance for business talks in a relaxed atmosphere.”

EWT draws to a close Saturday night with a “Get2Gether” sponsored by PartnerCash, which kicks off at 8:30 p.m. in the EWT lounge.
