Studios Lining Up for Free Speech Coalition Fundraiser

CANOGA PARK, Calif. – More than 300 adult studios will participate in FreedomStreams ’07, HotMovies' second annual fund-raising event to benefit the Free Speech Coalition and its ongoing fight against governmental restrictions on the adult industry.

On Sunday, April 15, participating studios will donate one day’s HotMovies earnings to the FSC, and HotMovies.com will match all contributions, dollar for dollar.

“The crew over at HotMovies are doing the work to sign up their own studios, and it's tremendous,” Scott Lowther, FSC director of membership development and services, told XBIZ. “We appreciate members like HotMovies and other companies coming forward to support us in our mission.”

The HotMovies marketing team advertises FreedomStreams across their site network and encourages customers to "get their rocks off in the name of personal freedom by watching movies created by the participating studios." Customers are routed to a special video on demand website, FSCvod.com, where all participating studios can be found.

HotMovies reports that FreedomStreams ‘06 had the participation of more than 230 studios and raised nearly $10,000 for FSC’s ongoing fights against attempts to cripple the adult industry, including ongoing litigation on 2257 regulations. This year, participation has already surpassed 300 studios. Returning contributors such as Caballero, Elegant Angel, Gourmet Video and Pleasure Licensing are being joined by newcomers to the event including Anabolic, Combat Zone, Evasive Angles and Vivid.

Following the new court rulings a week ago, FSC's Lowther pointed out that it is as crucial as ever to come together as an adult community. “Our outstanding legal team would not be able to do what it is doing without the support of HotMovies.com and all the producers who contribute through events like this one and their memberships with the FSC,” he said.

Producers who have not yet contacted HotMovies.com to sign up still have time to participate. Call or email Jesse at (800) 611-MOVIE or jesse@guesswho.com.
