Harriet Sugarcookie Lists Top 10 Reasons Men Want a Sex Robot

LONDON — Harriet Sugarcookie takes her fascination with AI Future Sex to the fans, asking the question, “Why would you want a sex robot?”

Over 500 men were polled, ushering in a variety of eye-opening responses to supplement Sugarcookie’s new infographic, edited to a “Top 10” list.

Voters could choose more than one option, which ranged from basic (shy with women or lonely) to peculiar (many wanted a partner that “shared the same interests” or they wanted to “show off their super-hot trophy girlfriend”).

67 percent of men polled said they simply wanted to have regular sex. 38 percent said they would like to live out fantasies they could not do in reality. 35 percent wanted a partner with “amazing sexual skills” to indulge in “the ultimate sexual luxury … instant gratification.”

Other responses seemed to reflect their dissatisfaction with today’s single women — 31 percent said they wanted a partner that wouldn’t let them down; 21 percent yearn for someone to always listen to them, nearly 15 percent were looking for a woman who “is never sad or upset” and 6 percent desired “an old-fashioned girl that doesn’t exist anymore.”

Sugarcookie found that men mostly want to connect — and sex robots can be both designed and programmed to look and act exactly like the ideal partner.

“Men tend to be very specific about what they are looking for, but at the same time — they just want to be comfortable around someone else, be themselves, do what interests them — but maybe they can’t or would rather not make the effort,” Sugarcookie wrote. “For those people, a robotic love doll can essentially replace the human touch and provide a comforting sense of companionship.”
