Hustler Hosts Soirée for Website Relaunches, New Vodka Line

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The adult industry turned out in force for last night’s Hustler.com relaunch party at the original Hustler Hollywood store.

On a balmy summer evening along Sunset Boulevard, Hustler hosted the early-evening affair inside a portion of its iconic West Hollywood retail store, serving hors d’oeuvres and vodka drinks using Hustler’s own branded liquor that debuted at the party, as well.

Adult stars and industry execs mixed and mingled after they had a chance to pose in front of Hustler’s step-and-repeat banner.

A partial list of attendees included Flirt4Free CEO Greg Clayman; Mobius Payments CEO Mia Hyun; Jules Jordan CTO Ezra Kamer; directors Dee Severe, Jimmy Broadway and Kay Brandt; and numerous porn stars, like Natalia Starr, Keisha Grey and Ricky Johnson.

Later in the eve, Hustler’s founder, Larry Flynt, made an appearance.

Tony Cochi, executive vice president of LFP’s broadcasting and internet, told XBIZ last night that users will immediately see a big difference with the relaunched Hustler.com.

LFP tapped Elevated X, one of the largest providers of adult site management software, and Zusana Designs for its relaunched Hustler.com. The site first debuted in 1995 and has had several relaunches through the years.

“The brand new Hustler.com has all the premium content with a backbone that finally supports the content,” he said. “The prior site did not give consumers what they wanted.”

Cochi explained that the old site had problems, including instances when the video streams would buffer.

“They hung around because of the content,” he said. “But now they are actually going to have a great functional site with the premium content. I think we hit it out of the park.”

Holly Ruprecht, Hustler’s senior manager of business development, said the new Hustler.com now has simpler navigation tools that make it easier for users to find exactly what they are looking for. The new design also will make it easier for affiliates to promote through the HustlerCash.com affiliate program.

“We broke it down to the categories videos, porn stars, magazines and cams,” Ruprecht told XBIZ. “To put it plainly, it’s a better user experience, bigger pictures, better video streaming and improved porn star pages.

“This is the biggest rebuild we’ve done.”
