Chaturbate Adds Bitcoin Option

Chaturbate Adds Bitcoin Option

LOS ANGELES — Chaturbate has announced that in response to community requests, it has expanded its alternative payment options to include Bitcoin.

This makes the innovative cam company the latest adult enterprise to adopt what supporters see as the future of online payments.

“We are pleased that Bitcoin is now available as a token payment option,” Chaturbate COO Shirley Lara says, noting that this addition is effective immediately. “Users will find Bitcoin displayed as an option on our token purchase page.”

Lara explains that Bitcoin has become an established cryptocurrency that uses a distributed database spread across nodes of a peer-to-peer network to journal transactions, and uses digital signatures to provide basic security functions, such as ensuring that Bitcoins can be spent only once per owner and only by the person who owns them.

“We decided to introduce the Bitcoin payment option,” Lara added, “because of interest expressed on camming forums and to Chaturbate’s customer service department.”

To begin using Bitcoin, click here then choose the option from the “Get More Tokens” buttons.
