CAM4VR Debuts VR Tech at SXSW

LOS ANGELES — CAM4VR has announced the upcoming premiere of its 360° and 3D live virtual reality experience for attendees of the 2017 SXSW Conference.

Held from March 14-16 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas, this year’s SXSW features CAM4VR conducting live demos during the show’s Interactive VR Days — highlighting the technological advances that continue to come from the adult industry.

The demos will be held on March 14 from noon until 2 p.m., Mar 15 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and finally on March 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the JW Marriott’s Pre-Function Space.

Adult VR pioneer Ela Darling, who recently formed a strategic partnership with CAM4VR, will be on hand alongside CAM4VR execs to discuss this new technology — explaining first-hand how people across the globe communicate by live broadcasting from their homes.

The company will also host a CAM4VR Immersive Cocktail Reception on Tuesday evening, March 14, to introduce the company to media, B2B and tech influencers, with live on-site demos presented to guests. Open to SXSW Interactive badge holders only, the event will take place at the W Hotel Living Room and Secret Bar from 6-9 p.m.

In addition, Darling is a scheduled speaker on the “Love in a Virtual/Augmented Age” panel on Thursday, March 16, from 2-3 p.m. at the JW Marriott Salon 1 and 2, where she will discuss the tricky emotional overlay of relationships and technology.

CAM4VR supports HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Gear VR and Google Cardboard VR hardware, and offers voice-to-voice technology, including one-on-one chat capability with live performers, via its website or mobile app, and featuring personal porn star profiles, photos, and more.
