LOS ANGELES — Adult film personality James Bartholet is co-producing and starring in a new mainstream comedy titled “MoonRocks,” which begins filming this week.
The project is directed by Upward Rising Development’s CEO Dan Frank and co-produced by Richard Greico. “MoonRocks” currently features adult stars Misty Stone, Luna Star, Ron Jeremy, Marica Hase, September Reign and former adult star Mimi Miyagi. Some roles have yet to be cast.
“This is a pretty wild movie, and I think audiences everywhere are going to like it,” Bartholet said. “We’ve attached some mainstream names and adult actors to this. I’m not going to give away any of the plot right now, but we’ll tell you more after we wrap production next month.
“I want to thank Dan Frank for bringing me on board and for casting some of my fellow performers from the adult industry,” he continued. “As I’ve said before, there are some good actors out there in the industry. It just takes a mainstream director with some insight to see that we can also act in mainstream movies.”
“MoonRocks” is set to hit theatres “by the end of the year.”
