Buck Angel Heads to Japan After 2017 XBIZ Win

LOS ANGELES — Famed trans performer and activist Buck Angel has announced he is starring in HBO’s documentary “The Trans List” and has been showcasing his own documentary “Sexing the Transman” following his recent win at the 2017 XBIZ Awards for FTM Stroker “Buck-Off.”

“All this and the year has only just begun,” Buck Angel said. “I just finished showcasing my films in Denmark and next week I’m off to Japan where I’ll be introducing their country to the world’s first transgendered male sex toy, performing at various events and filming with Japanese female trans icon, Miran, for Buck-Angel.com.”

The film featuring Miran will be co-produced and directed by Angel’s business partner, Danny Z. Zeeman, and filmed in Japan over a two-week period.

“I’m very excited to help Buck create this, which will be one part documentary of his experiences traveling to Japan for the first time, one part exciting sex scenes with top Japanese trans stars and one part an exposé of the blooming transgender male movement in the country,” Zeeman said. “I think it’s going to be an amazing trip. We’re going to make Buck a big star in Japan.”

The schedule for Buck Angel’s Japan trip is as follows:

Feb. 18 — Angel will host a “BuckOff Japan” release party where he will show his movie, sell Buck-Offs and be available for a live signature and photo session. This will take place at the Haga Shoten Building in Tokyo, Japan from 3-6 p.m.

Feb. 23 — Angel will host the “BuckOff” club night where fans can watch him perform and strip. This will take place at the Stormy Monday bar in Hitachinaka City, Japan.

Buck Angel also received a 2017 XBIZ Trans Release of the Year nomination for his role in Dana Vespoli’s “Girl/Boy 2.”
