April Lampert Joins Hot Octopuss as Global Head of Sales

LONDON — Next-gen sex toy maker Hot Octopuss on Wednesday said it has tapped April Lampert as its new global head of sales.

The U.K. sex toy brand chose Lambert, who previously held the sales director role at Fun Factory, as it looks to increase its global footprint and introduce an array of new products to its product line this year.

At Fun Factory, Lampert helped triple annual sales from 2012 to 2015. In addition, Lambert last year received the inaugural WIA Woman of the Year award.

Adam Lewis, Hot Octopuss’ co-founder, said the brand is at a pivotal point in its development “and so we need the most brilliant people in the business to support us with the next part of our journey.”

“Lampert is just that, and we’re thrilled to have her on board,” she said. “Given Lampert’s excellent credentials, passion and fit with the brand, I am confident she will exceed all of our expectations and steer Hot Octopuss towards becoming a major player within the sector.”

The hire comes as the company, now in its fourth year of production, continues to invest in expansion and innovation following the recent launch of its PULSE III line.

PULSE, aka “The Guybrator,” was the first product from Hot Octopus, debuting in 2013.

This spring, Hot Octopuss will be launching its first women-only sex toy, the Queen Bee.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Hot Octopuss team,” Lambert said. “The brands that excite me the most are those that refuse to stand still and are willing to take risks, innovate and push boundaries, which is exactly what inspired me about Hot Octopuss.

“2017 is an exciting year for the brand and I cannot wait to come on board and help propel them to new heights of success.”

Lambert can be reached at her new email address, april.lampert@hotoctopuss.com.
