LOS ANGELES — Adult stars Nicki Hunter, Gianna Michaels, Jessica Ryan and Reena Sky hosted Mofo Wear’s first Porna Fania event, which was held at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge in Burbank, Calif. on Jul. 19 at a Porn Star Karaoke gathering. Mofo Wear asked people in the adult industry to donate portable, battery-operated fans as well as batteries on behalf of L.A.’s homeless, and the items were given to the Union Rescue Mission in Downtown Los Angeles.
“It was hard work to pull this event off on short notice, but not nearly as hard as the thousands of homeless have it on Skid Row,” a spokesperson for Mofo Wear said. “And it was worth (it). The appreciation and huge smiles I got when I dropped off the many, many donations of fans and batteries at Union Rescue Mission made it all worth (it).”
At Porna Fania, Mofo Wear held a raffle — and the winner received one hour of free time with tattoo artist Chris Lowk.
“Our first annual Porna Fania was a great time for everyone,” a Mofo Wear representative said. “Sardo’s Bar was packed with porn stars and porn fans. I gave free Porna Fania trucker hats and tees designed by me…. This was a huge, positive event for everyone involved and more importantly, for the porn industry in L.A. We need this, especially with Prop. 60 only a few months away. And more importantly, the homeless need this.”
Mofo Wear said it plans to “have Porna Fania every June starting next year.”
For 11 years, Mofo Wear has also been holding an annual Toys for Tots benefit at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge.
