LOS ANGELES — Mofo Wear is getting ready to launch Porna Fania, a charitable event to help the homeless on Los Angeles’ Skid Row.
The first Porna Fania event will take place this Tues. evening, Jul. 19 inside Sardo’s Grill and Lounge in Burbank, Calif. at the Porn Star Karaoke gathering. Adult performers Nicki Hunter, Gianna Michaels, Reena Sky and Jessica Ryan will be hosting the event, and people in the adult industry are asked to donate portable, battery-operated fans for Porna Fania.
Those who wish to make cash donations for the homeless should send donations directly to the Union Rescue Mission in Downtown Los Angeles.
“The population of homeless in Los Angeles is the highest it’s been in 125 years,” a spokesperson for Mofo Wear said. “The number of women outnumber the men for the first time. Union Rescue Mission says that daily, record number of families are seeking shelter. And it’s also one of the hottest summers ever.”
Porna Fania will feature free giveaways from Mofo Wear. A raffle will be held for one hour of free time from tattoo artist Chris Lowk.
For 11 years, Mofo Wear has also been holding an annual Toys for Tots benefit at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge, which is located at 259 N. Pass Ave.
