B. Skow Titles Make Cameo on 'Ray Donovan'

VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has announced that several of director B. Skow's titles made a cameo on the latest episode of the Showtime hit series "Ray Donovan."

Entitled "Marisol," this second episode of the show’s fourth season was given a rating of 8.4 out of 10 stars by viewers on IMDB. According to the plot summary, Abby (Paula Malcomson) offers Bunchy (Dash Mihok) a “lesson in marital compromise.”

A fan of the award-winning Showtime hit, B. Skow was surprised and elated to see his work on the digital screen. “At first, it didn’t strike me, it was like just another day at the office,” he explained. “Then I thought, hey, wait a minute. Those are all my movies!”

The scene takes place when Donovan’s wife Abby takes his brother Bunchy to an adult novelty store as a form of sex education to help with his marital troubles. The two are seen looking at Doc Johnson products while standing among an array of shelves lined with B. Skow adult movies. The scene ends with Abby staring at a close-up shot of the B. Skow DVD "Pretty Titties," featuring cover model Natasha Nice, in a reference to the character Abby’s personal struggle with breast cancer.

Worth noting is B. Skow’s parent studio Girlfriends Films recently made a donation to the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer in Santa Barbara supporting breast cancer research. According to a rep from Girlfriends Films, the breast cancer link was purely a coincidence as the Ray Donovan scene was shot months ago. “That was the part that blew me away,” Skow added. “And as a fan of the show it’s truly an honor to have my work be a part of the storyline, even in a small way.”
