Pornhub Offers Roku Video App

LOS ANGELES — Pornhub has expanded into the realm of big-screen adult entertainment with the launch of its own channel on the popular Roku video streaming service.

According to Pornhub’s Aria, fans can now watch the site’s millions of videos on their television sets via the Roku device. Pornhub’s premium members are reportedly able to extend their premium experience with an ad-free option and additional exclusive content.

“What a time to be alive!” exclaims Aria. “All you need to do is sign into your Roku [account] and add the Pornhub channel.”

The Pornhub Roku channel lacks some of the website’s features, but provides content categories and tools for surfacing videos based on popularity and more, offering a similar user experience as other Roku channels — a user experience the company intends to spread to other platforms.

“[Pornhub wants to be on] any platform(s) that allow adult content,” Pornhub VP Corey Price told Gizmodo. “In the meantime we will continue to optimize our TV version of Pornhub that works great on consoles and smartTV browsers.”

Price also revealed the company’s plans to add Chromecast support to its official Android app by the end of April.

The Roku release follows Pornhub’s recent launch of a free VR Channel in partnership with BaDoinkVR — an aggressive move that shocked some industry insiders by providing a fast answer to the question of “Will VR content be on free tubes?”

Roku users can access Pornhub’s channel here.
