CYBERSPACE — Fans are voting in record numbers through the first two rounds of the "Porn Star March Madness" tournament on online adult store GameLink.com, its organizer said.
“We’re receiving tremendous response to this tournament thanks largely to the incredible support of the fans of these talented performers,” said Jeff Dillon, vice president of business development for eLine.com, parent company to GameLink. “Social media has been burning up with all these tweets and posts from the girls and fans encouraging everyone to vote. We’re completely overwhelmed by the great support so far.”
Dillon said that only four porn stars — Adrana Checkik, Dillion Harper, Jynz Maze and Casey Calvert — remain in Round 3, which begins today.
The contest, now in its second year, has captured the attention of porn fans, garnering a record 45,000 votes through the first two rounds, Dillon noted.
Porn Star Madness features college basketball-style brackets pitting porn stars against one another for a $500 grand prize and the chance to be crowned the top performer in the world.
Porn Star Madness runs from March 15 to March 30. It began with 16 starlets vying for the top prize. Over the course of four rounds, performers receiving the most votes advance until there is only one remaining.
Under tournament rules, voting for Round 3 begins March 23, followed by Round 4, which begins on March 27. Voting ends March 30 with the tournament champion announced on April 2.
“With the competition heating up, I think we’re going to see a lot more voting incentives offered by the girls,” Dillon said. “It’s going to make for an incredible final week of the tournament!”
