Social18.com Adult Social Media Website Debuts

LOS ANGELES — Social18.com, a new social network for adults only has debuted.
The operators said the website was designed to give members access to people who are looking to date, hook up or share racy content in a discreet, secure environment with more freedom of sexual expression than a dating app.

“Our goal is to give users an inviting, open platform to make new friends and share explicit materials, something you cannot do on, say, Instagram," creative director Justin Kerrihard said. "Social18's interactive community creates a more comfortable atmosphere to be yourself around others who enjoy the same interests."

Social18's platform is similar to social media apps such as Facebook and Instagram, with photo, video and text sharing, user feed posting and commenting, private messaging and user followers as well as hashtag, name linking and 'Like' button functionality.

"With Social18, users can create any type of profile with racy photos and create their own sexy virtual world with a whole new set of friends," said Pierre Vincent, director of operations. "It's more than social media, it's more than a dating site ... it's a private virtual world of unlimited opportunities."
