GameLink Supports UT's #CocksNotGlocks Campaign With Free Dildos

SAN FRANCISCO — Adult entertainment e-tail site GameLink.com is throwing its support behind thousands of University of Texas Austin students preparing to protest a new law permitting concealed handguns on campus. The law will take effect August 1, 2016, while the proposed protest, using the hashtag #CocksNotGlocks, will August 24, 2016 when classes are back in session.

GameLink.com is offering free dildos to the first 69 students who contact the site with valid IDs. All other students will receive 20 percent off any dildo or vibrator sold by GameLink.com.

In an email sent to #CocksNotGlocks organizer Jessica Jin, GameLink representatives wrote:

"We heard about your scheduled “Cocks Not Glocks” protest, and we applaud you for your activism efforts and sex-positive message. Everyone at GameLink.com would love to support your cause by offering free dildos to the first 69 University of Texas Austin students to contact us.

"GameLink is one of the leading international online retailers of adult entertainment, offering everything from sex toys to video-on-demand releases, lingerie, adult DVD’s, and lubricants, and we support opposition to Texas’ new “campus carry” law. Like you, we believe that guns have no place on university campuses, while promoting healthy sexuality, consent, education, and sex-positive discourses are exactly what higher learning should entail.

"We will ship free dildos to the first 69 University of Texas Austin students to email our Vice President Jeff Dillon at jeff@gamelink.com, as well as 20 percent off any dildo or vibrator sold on GameLink.com to all others. Mr. Dillon will supply a code for the 20 percent discount offer to those who contact us beyond the first 69.

"Interested students must email a scanned or photo image of their student ID to be eligible for the offer. They must also do the same with an ID, like a driver’s license, which proves that they are 18 or older. Finally, they must include their shipping address where packages may be received.

"Please let us know if you need any further information, and if you are interested in working with GameLink on your endeavor to equip your protesters before August 24, 2016."

The law giving students on any campus in the UT system the right to carry concealed handguns passed by the Texas legislature and was signed by the Governor in June.

According to the Facebook page for #CocksNotGlocks, the purpose of the protest is to draw attention to the bizarre priorities of the State of Texas, which will allow firearms on campus and in classrooms, but has strict rules forbidding any object deemed obscene to be carried in public, like a dildo.

There are currently 8,300 people slated to attend the protest, per the Facebook page.
