Internet Adult Film Database Adds Gay

TRENTON, N.J. — The Internet Adult Film Database has added 18,000 gay titles to its library of cross-referenced adult industry information, expanding its coverage into the gay market with one swift move.

Users will be able to change their preferences if they want to filter out the gay listings.

IAFd President Jeff Vanzetti told XBIZ that he and his staff decided not to add a second website only for the gay listings for philosophical and logistical reasons.

"We like to think that porn is porn," he said. "It's a bigger industry, and we don't like to segregate, but we do realize that not everyone is going to be looking for the gay information."

Vanzetti also said that the ample crossover between the two industries made it more feasible list everything on one site.

"Jeff Stryker is the perfect example of a guy that's going to come up in straight and gay listings," he said.

Even individual listings will dynamically include or exclude gay credits depending on a user's settings.

The move to add comprehensive gay information to the IAFd started two years ago when a Canadian webmaster contacted Vanzetti and his staff. Since then, they've been entering in the new data until they had enough to formally launch the new section.
