Briana Banks and Stefani Morgan will appear on the first batch of guitars, which will cost $899.
Vivid sales manager Howard Levine told XBIZ that the new line of guitars should be available in March, and that Schecter unveiled them at this past January's International Music Products Association show, aka the NAMM Show.
Schecter Vice President Marc LaCorte told XBIZ that although collectors might like the Vivid-branded guitars, his company built the instruments for serious musicians — even ones on tour.
"We wanted it to look great, but it's a versatile guitar," he said. "You can go heavy and rock out with it, or pull back and play blues."
Levine himself is also a guitar player — though not a very good one, by his own admission — and he recommends Schecter's guitars.
"They make an incredible-quality product," he said. "As a company, it's always nice to hook up with someone who knows what they're doing."
Here are the technical specs on the instrument itself: a Tempest body design, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75-inch scale length, Tune-O-Matic bridge, two Schecter Alnico Plus humbucker pickups, three–way pickup switch, as well as two volume and one tone controls with push-pull.
