Wicked Pictures Releases Stormy Daniels' 'Girlfriends'

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has announced the release of "Girlfriends," which it bills as "an empowering all-female drama which focuses on a self-actualized woman’s success in finding love, happiness and fulfillment."

Wicked unveiled the movie on "Women’s Equality Day" which was Wednesday, Aug. 26. On that day in 1920, the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was certified into law, granting women the right to vote.

Wicked saluted the historic legislative decision’s 95th anniversary with the release of its first lesbian love story in the Wicked Passions romance line. The new release was written and directed by Stormy Daniels.

As Daniels’ story begins, small town girl Jamie (Casey Calvert) has made the difficult decision to tell her parents that she is in a same sex relationship. Unfortunately, her family does not react well to the news and Jamie decides to go to Los Angeles to visit her best friend Sarah (Scarlet Red). Jamie is happy to discover California is far more accepting. Finally able to be happy and at peace, Jamie meets a woman named Pam. As things heat up between Jamie and Pam, Sarah begins acting strange. Is it because Sarah doesn’t like Pam, or because she wants to be more than just “girlfriends?”

Co-starring AJ Applegate, Sasha Heart, August Ames, and Lily Cade, this release is the 14th title in the Wicked Passions franchise to be directed by Daniels.

For his part, Wicked Pictures president and owner, Steve Orenstein, couldn’t be happier with what Daniels is doing with the series. “We’ve received great responses to this line, and now, due to the requests from retailers and consumers, Stormy has created a lesbian Wicked Passions release written and shot in the same unique way as our heterosexual Passions titles. I believe fans, reviewers and consumers will all be very pleased with the results.”

In addition to the 16×9 widescreen HD feature, the disc includes three bonus sex scenes, a still gallery, motion menus, trailers and more. And it all comes encased in an O-card showcasing Calvert and Red.

Daniels is currently putting the finishing touches on the most ambitious project of her career — a western. Co-produced by Wicked and Adam & Eve, "Wanted" features Daniels as well as Wicked contract stars jessica drake and Brad Armstrong, 2015 XBIZ Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite, Allie Haze, Amber Rayne, Steven St. Croix and Brendon Miller. It is scheduled to go on sale Sept. 16.
