GameLink: California Leads in Transgender Porn Consumption

SAN FRANCISCO — California is leading the nation in transgender website porn consumption, a report by GameLink.com has found.

The company said that in the past year, California accounted for 17 percent of transgender porn sales on GameLink.com, followed by New York with 7.3 percent. Texas was next, in third place with 5 percent; followed by Arizona, 4.9 percent; Florida, 4.7 percent; Michigan, 4.4 percent; Virginia, 4 percent; Maryland, 3.6 percent; and in 10th place was New Jersey with 3.5 percent.

Of the states in the top 10, GameLink said only California, New York, Illinois, Maryland, and New Jersey have laws protecting transgender persons. Texas, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia do not have legal protections.

According to the company’s sales numbers, transgender porn makes up 10 percent of the e-tailer’s annual revenue, while there has been a 14 percent increase in sales in 2015.

“The growing consumption of transgender porn is also a sign that Americans are becoming more ready to accept transgender individuals than in the past,” said Jeff Dillon, vice president of business development and marketing for GameLink’s parent company, eLine.com.

GameLink pointed to an article published by International Business Times on July 29, where Dillon told the publication that transgender porn has been a catalyst for increased acceptance of transgender people.

“Over the past 15 years we’ve watched viewership of content featuring transgender performers skyrocket,” Dillon said.

He added, “In the 1970’s, we introduced the world to the first images of interracial [black and white] couples having sex in the movie 'Behind the Green Door.’ This was incredibly shocking at the time, but it soon became mundane. I believe a similar connection can be made between porn and the rapid acceptance of other social/sexual shifts, including same-sex marriage and gay rights, ethical non monogamy and swinging, and now transgender rights.”

The top 10 selling transgender titles on Gamelink.com are: 1. “Joey Silvera’s She-Male Idol — the Auditions #6,” 2. “Jay Sins’ TS Playground #20,” 3. “Euro Shemale #14,” 4. “Euro Shemale #10,” 5. “Euro Shemale #11,” 6. “Joey Silvera’s Trans-Visions #3,” 7. “TS Beauties,” 8. “Nacho’s Perfect She-Males,” 9. “Euro Shemale #13,” and 10. “Tranny Ass Lovers.”
