ASACP to Attend QWEBEC Expo

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to the annual QWEBEC Expo, slated for August 6-9, at the Marriott Château Champlain, in Montreal.

An industry tradeshow and technical conference serving existing and prospective online adult entertainment professionals, QWEBEC Expo is an annual event that acts as an international crossroads for U.S., Canadian and European members of the adult industry, gathering together to network and to learn about the market’s latest technologies, trends, products and services.

QWEBEC Expo is generously providing ASACP complimentary admission to the event, plus flyers in the event’s gift bags, an ad in the event’s show guide, and a booth on the show floor where i nformational materials will be available.

“QWEBEC Expo is honored to support ASACP and RTA again this year by giving them as much exposure as possible,” event organizer Michael Plante stated. “Tim and his team are doing a tremendous job of helping mainstream audiences understand that the legitimate adult industry community has no links to CP, and is fighting this heinous crime against children.”

ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, will attend the event as part of the association’s commitment to international digital media industry outreach.

“ASACP uses events such as the QWEBEC Expo to help educate relevant businesses about the need to protect children online, and how free ASACP services such as the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta-label, Best Practices and Code of Ethics, help in this endeavor,” Henning says. “Attracting a global audience of professionals that includes representatives of many Canadian companies, the annual QWEBEC Expo is an important event for ASACP and its international outreach efforts.”

On Friday, August 7, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Henning will once again moderate the exclusive “New Bees Workshop,” where new and prospective adult industry members learn how to responsibly start their business, and how to make the most of the available resources.

“This year’s QWEBEC Expo marks my third year of moderating the ‘New Bees Workshop,’ which provides valuable information to attendees, while benefiting ASACP, and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment, by reaching operators on the ground floor as they plan the launch of new adult-oriented enterprises.” Henning explains. “This is a great opportunity to promote corporate and social responsibility and to make a real difference in online safety for children, by helping stop potential problems before they begin.”

Henning will also join adult entertainment industry stakeholder s for the 8th Annual QWEBEC Masters Golf Tournament, at Golf des Iles, where quality relationship building leads to better understanding between the association and relevant digital media companies and services

“ASACP appreciates the longtime generous support of QWEBEC Expo,” Henning concludes. “Funded by sponsorships and such member support, ASACP is able to perform its mission of online child protection, and to provide meaningful resources to stakeholders.”
