Pulse, Mindgeek Execs Comment on Distribution Deal

LOS ANGELES — Pulse Distribution Executive VP of Sales Robert Plarski told XBIZ Monday that closing the exclusive distribution deal for Mindgeek’s family of movie studios is “outstanding."

“We have the distribution channels in place, which allow our studios to focus on producing high-quality content," Plarski said. "We take care of all the rest from sales to specials to shipping and receiving."

Plarski continued, "It’s a blessing having all of these studios under one roof. It allows me to tailor an order to whatever a client may need — gay, straight, fetish, sell-through, you name it. Everything in one convenient place.“

In a deal that became effective May 1, Pulse is now the DVD home for Mindgeek's well-known brands Reality Kings, Brazzers, Digital Playground, Mofos, Babes.com and Men.com.

Those additions bring the number of studios Pulse distributes to more than 60 between straight and gay lines. Pulse moves about 30 new-release DVDs a week, or more than 100 a month.

Scott Justice, senior VP of the Adult Media Group for MindGeek, remarked, "The DVD distribution channel demands a strong partner to market and support our extensive library.

"Pulse is uniquely positioned to further cement MindGeek’s commitment to offering audiences an optimal viewing experience and we look forward to a long and successful relationship between our companies.”

Pulse begins shipping Mindgeek movies on Tuesday for a May 12 street date. The first set of releases includes “Hot Bush 13” and “Moms Bang Teens 11” from Reality Kings; “Bullet to the Top” from Digital Playground; and “Men of Anarchy” from Men.com.

“Anal Therapy” will be the first new title from Brazzers, which ships on May 12 for a May 19 street date.

Pulse will ship one new release per week from each of the Mindgeek studios with the exception of Reality Kings, which releases at least three titles per week along with a comp or multi-pack.
