New Frontier Media Names Scott Piper CIO

BOULDER, Colo. — Adult entertainment producer and distributor New Frontier Media has tapped Scott A. Piper as chief information officer, a newly created position at the company.

As CIO, Piper will lead New Frontier’s continued monetization of new and emerging delivery technologies through his work with the company’s distribution partners to assure that New Frontier Media is able to exploit new technologies quickly and competitively. Operationally, Piper will oversee the company’s computing and data infrastructure as well as its digital broadcast and video-on-demand distribution systems.

“Scott’s value to New Frontier Media goes well beyond his ability to manage our technology infrastructure,” New Frontier CEO Michael Weiner said. “Scott’s fluency with distributor-customer relationship systems, billing systems and with set top box technology will improve New Frontier Media’s overall level of service to its partners almost immediately.”

Prior to joining New Frontier, Piper served in a variety of positions at EchoStar Communications Corporation, including acting CIO. Most recently, Piper was the executive in charge of launching EchoStar Communications’ broadband entertainment portal, DISHonline.

New Frontier operates its brand of adult entertainment under The Erotic Networks trademark, producing and distributing content via Internet, cable and satellite platforms.
